Various symptoms are associated with menopause. Menopause is brought on when a normal woman starts experiencing a decrease in the number of eggs produced by the ovaries. Progesterone levels as well as estrogen levels will start to decrease leading to hormonal imbalance which causes various side effects or symptoms of menopause. Menstrual cycles will start to decrease before stopping altogether.
